Mama Uwa - My Beloved Mum

Created by ifeyinwa one year ago

Oh sweet mum! A gem. A woman of God. A praying mum. A strong Amazon. An Agunwanyi!!! Selfless in her love for God, her family and everyone she knew.

Mum you loved fiercely. You gave everything. You always had something to give to everyone you met. Whether it be a smile, prayers, encouragements, food, shelter, money or love. You gave freely to all.  The little you had you shared.

We your children love you. We miss you and we are so proud of you.
You are Victorious as is your name Victoria. You never backed down in the face of any adversity. No matter how long the tunnel looked you saw the bright light at the end of it. This was your life. Sometimes we couldn’t see as far as you did, but you kept nudging us forward. Kaijebenu . Unuga' afu. Don’t worry. These were some of your words of encouragement to us. Did we understand? Not until now you are gone that all you taught us is coming together. You kept your children together under your wings. You protected, you shielded, you provided with every fibre of your being. It was never one alone but had to be us all. Ifeyinwa, Ofili na Adaeze were constantly on your lips.

In all your supplications to God. You prayed fervently everyday for your loved ones your sisters, your brothers, your nephews, your nieces, your grandchildren, your friends and their families remembering them one by one.

Oh mum... Indeed an eagle 🦅 took flight on the 4th of September 2022. A day in history. A day one will never forget. Mum only the simple things mattered to you. Your relationship with God. Your relationship with others. You did not care about wealth and riches. You did not care about who had or who did not have. The little you had you gave to those who had even more than you did. You inconvenienced yourself at every time you needed to accommodate everyone. Cheerfully at that.

Mum we celebrate you. We know you would not want us to grieve at all. You showed us what it means to endure even through the darkest hour.
Your children and grandchildren are full of love and admiration. Tulu ugo na ndu! Tulu ugo na onwu! Imeligo ekwensu!!! Victory is yours.

Mama uwa ni'ne as I always called you. Mother of the whole world. It didn’t matter who or what tribe or what race, you welcomed and fed all. The legacy you left behind lives on mummy. You did not labour in vain . You are remembered for good works and deeds. Mummy you completed your assignments from God 100%. You ran a good race and you finished well. We wish you well sweet mother. God be with you as always mummy! We love you earnestly. We are grateful for your love from the bottom of our hearts. We are not like ones without hope for surely we will meet to part no more . ❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖
